About the Artist

I live in Phoenix, Arizona and I am originally from southern California. I am a self taught artist and have been drawing and painting since I could hold a pencil. I came from a large family in which each sibling was artistic. It was great fun sitting around with my brothers and sisters with paper and pencils drawing. We each had our own interest and mine was animals. When I started selling my work in galleries I painted westerns, florals, landscapes etc. But I never felt the passion until in the recent years when I painted a picture of my daughter’s beloved Chihuahua, as a surprise for Christmas. It was so much fun! I haven’t gone back to painting anything else since. I like to paint close up pictures and pay special attention to the eyes. I believe the eyes show a lot of their personality. I would love the opportunity to capture the unique personality in your beloved pet.
